Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 on harmonised rules on fair access to and use of data — the flagship of the EU data strategy for non-personal / industrial data.

What it does (at a glance)

  • Users of connected products get access to the data they generate; makers must design for data access.
  • Business-to-business data sharing on fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms.
